Positive impulsiveness in Zara

Something about me is that I am a firm believer in taking charge, doing what you want, and going for things that might scare you.

I've always been the person who pursues things seemingly on a whim just because it interested me, and tickled my fancy. This mentality led to a lot of creating, procrastination of schoolwork, and friends messaging me saying "only you would do something this embarrassing😂"

I'll admit, sometimes I'm a bit too impulsive. But, the good that has come from this way of being definitely outweighs the bad.

For example, I was browsing in Zara the other day and was deciding between two coats. I didn't want to get both since I bought another one a couple weeks before in the same store.

I know I just sound impulsive af, but bear with me.

Across the room, I see these two girls trying on the SAME EXACT COAT I bought a couple weeks before (and still had the tag on).

Without even THINKING (okay, maybe there was a second of asking myself "will this be too awkward?"), I ended up on the other side of the room introducing myself to them.

It went like this:

Me: Hi!

Girl 1 & 2: ...

Me: If you like this I have the exact same one that I haven't worn.

Girl 1 & 2: ...

Me: I can sell it to you for a discount!!

Girl 1: Seriously??

Me: Yes seriously

Girl 2: I'm interested!

Long story short, I did the exchange with Girl 2 the next day and I ended up buying both jackets.

What I'm trying to say is, if I had been too scared of being seen as weird then all of this would have never happened.

So, the moral of the story is: Don't ever stop yourself from doing something you want to do just because you're scared to.

You never know what might come from it... like extra money to buy a cute jacket. x
