Roppongi Hills Festivities
It's been obvious how excited the city of Tokyo is to welcome the upcoming holidays. With decorations featuring Christmas trees, Santa, and his reindeer, the entire city is buzzing with holiday hype.
But, the winner of all Christmas decorations are located at Roppongi Hills, where the basement of the mall was turned into a Christmas village.
It smelled like mulled wine and sausages. Obviously we had to get some for ourselves.
Noms.
The cold weather is best accompanied with some warm soup. So, instead of mulled wine we opted for some hot corn soup.
The makeshift village had loads of small shops selling Christmas ornaments and gifts.
We then took a stroll down the street of Roppongi. It was so bright and festive I felt like I was in the middle of a Christmas movie. The photos barely do it justice... but just imagine seeing a whole street lined with brightly lit trees. Plus, in one of the best cities in the world.
...and then the lights turned red. Which was when holiday fever hit me in full force.
I don't even know what else to say. I'm just really looking forward to Christmas.
