Today was the day. It was the day we ate at Commander's Palace, and the day we toured the bayou. Ahhh!
Before I get too excited, let me break it down for you.
It's just like I saw in the movies— hectic, loud, vibrant, and crazy. Everyone was dancing around, going in and out of bars, and holding pitchers of flavored daiquiris. It was great.
We did everything a first time visitor would want to do in the French Quarters— all in one day.
The skies have shined blue the past week, but the cold doesn't seem like it will go away anytime soon. I've adapted and took the time to pick up a skill though! The ultimate hermit skill of staying indoors. This time, my friend Victoria and I chose to visit a little hidden gem of a museum.
I went to the cutest little cafe for brunch and reunited with more of my favorite people from Hong Kong.
Last weekend my friend came down to Boston to visit me. We drove around the outskirts of the city, got food, hiked a bit, went to a museum, and then ate some more.
So, the time has finally come! I am now fully moved into my college dorm and ready for my first semester in Boston. First things first though, before I do any other sight-seeing or familiarizing myself with the campus, I had to see my best friend.
Of all restaurants in LA, the one place that has most frequented my Instagram feed has been Urth Caffe.
I'm a huge fan of Disneyland. Huge. Not just because my mom decided to name me Minnie, but because my nostalgic self still views it as one of the happiest places on earth.
Oh goodness...we had the most hectic morning before our flight to Los Angeles.
Wait, I mean our *second* flight to Los Angeles. Cause guess what? We missed our first one.
The first time I was at Pier 39 I remember taking photos next to the water, consuming large amounts of clam chowder, and being overwhelmed with the crowds of tourists. This time was not so different.
I woke up super psyched since I was going to see my brother after two months! It's weird that we're finally studying in the same country again, and I still don't get to see him often.
What do you know about juicy, impeccably seasoned Cajun food? Mmm, let me tell ya.
